What is up AH Farmers?!?!

Been out of commission as of the past week, but I am back in business!  Lots going on with the WoW Gold Project so let’s not waste any time getting right into it!

First of all, HUGE congrats to Shock and Awe and all of our members that have been performing some RIDIC progression on ICC25 Hardmodes.  We are already 8/12 ICC25 HM, and because of this, the Shadowfrost Shards are flowing.  I only need 12 more, so if the random number generator gods are shining upon me, I may be able to get Shadowmourne in two weeks.  Stay tuned.

Inscription: Post patch 4.01

You saw the picture above.  It is STILL hot hot hot!  Glyph cost has increased to 3 ink per glyph, and on my server, Ink of the Sea go for roughly 5 gold each.  That means anything over 15g is profit on glyphs (not even counting profit earned from selling Snowfall Ink!).

Here is what I am seeing on my server in regards to trends, which is still outrageous:

Old Trend:

Glyph Cost = 5g

Average Glyph Sale = 20g

High Glyph Sale = 50g

New Trend:

Glyph Cost = 15g

Average Glyph Sale = 50g

High Glyph Sale = 75g to 236g!!!!!!!

Ridic...

TL;DR, Glyphs cost more to make, but the profit is even more ridiculous than before!

I have all kinds of people telling me this is not going to last very long, but I think it will last well into Cataclysm.

If you have not already, you need to get on the Golden Scribe Train and make that profit.

Parachute Fun

So, I found out on accident that apparently Engineers can use their parachute while standing still, and it will deploy, but will not go away until the time runs out or unless you jump!  You are free to move around, use Eng rocket boots, and even fight while “Parachute Mounted”.  Although there is no special effect or anything of that nature, it looks pretty funny and can garner a few stares, whispers if you are running around with your parachute out.  Check it out if you are an Eng

As you can see in the pic above, the time and effort we have put in to killing the Lich King in 25 man ICC has finally paid off.  Big grats to everybody that was there for the kill, everybody that could not be but still put in a ton of work, the players that stayed late and through prior engagements, and also to a few players who stepped in to give us a hand when we were short.  Here are a few more pics from the event:

Even more good luck for Goldproject that same night?!?!

Recently, a player named Sib from the guild Breakdown completed his Shadowmourne.  After killing the Lich King in ICC25, he received the Sealed Chest.  He decided that he wanted some gold for Cataclysm so he offered to sell me the Tabard of the Lightbringer, one of the cool items that is a reward from the Sealed Chest.  He gave me an EXTREMELY good deal on it, so I just wanted to thank him once more for selling it to me.

May you always bring light into dark places

The Tabard has a use effect that Suffuses the bearer with The Light for five minutes. It has a 30 min cooldown that starts as soon as you use it.

I used to be a great Night Elf hero, who turned into an evil Scourge death knight, but then free of the Lich King's will and now a kinda good Death Knight out for revenge. Post revenge I am now embracing The Light again. Full circle completed?

Algalon the Observer

What is up AH Farmers?!?!

After getting the Lich King achievement Been Waiting a Long Time For This, we had an hour left for raiding, so we went ahead and extended our Ulduar 10 lock and took a shot at killing Algalon, The Observer.  Once you engage Algalon, you only have 1 hour to kill him until he casts a ridic spell and despawns until the next lockout.  His room and story are probably some of my favorite in the entire World of Warcraft Universe, and the pictures below do not do it justice.  As usual, click on some of the pics to get a full screen view.

He drops an item called Reply-Code Alpha which is turned in to Rhonin in Dalaran for a quest.  The following is an explanation from the first comment by Aelleth on wowhead:

“A guaranteed drop from Algalon the Observer’s cache in normal mode, one item per raid.

About the item’s background (spoiler warning):

Algalon the Observer’s planetary diagnostics result in one of two possible reply signals: Reply-Code Alpha, signalling ‘All is well’, and Reply-Code Omega, requesting planetary reorigination. If he is not stopped within one hour, his analysis confirms the Archivum Console’s calculations, which estimate the chance of Reply-Code Omega to be 99.99% (repeating, of course), finding partial corruption in the planet’s life support systems, as well as complete corruption in most of the planet’s defence mechanisms. When he is defeated, however, he rearanges the Reply-Code and leaves this item in the Gift of the Observer chest, because he lacks the strength to transmit it to the Pantheon himself. As Brann suggests, the Reply-Code should be brought to Rhonin in the Violet Citadel, from where it can be transmitted.”

Seven members of Shock and Awe, including myself, have completed Glory of the Ice Crown Raider 10, and received our ridiculous 310% flying Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher mounts! Congrats to everybody that got their mount, and to the remaining few who we will finish up in the coming weeks.  Check out some additional screenshots and comments below:

What is up AH Farmers?!?!

Engineering providing a surprising amount of income (not as much as Inscription or Jewelcrafting, but much more than Blacksmithing) is making the WoW Gold Project as successful as ever.

Also, I am happy to report that I now have 18 Shadowfrost Shards.  Shock and Awe is extremely close to an ICC25 Lich King kill, and I look forward to heroic modes shortly after.

What is up AH Farmers?!?!

I thought it would be fun to post a few pictures of some Shock and Awe raid night attempts when we brought in some new players.  The pic above was a first attempt with a bunch of new players on Sindragosa in ICC25, which we have on farm.

The following pics (Click on any pic to see the full screen size) are when we let a guild member try for Unholy Infusion, which requires riding in the abomination suit during the Professor Putricide encounter.

What is up AH Farmers?!?!

I just dropped Inscription and powerleveled Engineering to 450 in one day, and after one night of raiding with it, I can honestly say that I love it.  I chose Gnomish Engineering and here are some of the many benefits:

For PvE Raiding, here is what I am using:

• [Hyperspeed Accelerators] – 340 haste for 12 seconds every 1 minute
• [Reticulated Armor Webbing] – 885 bonus armor.
• [Flexweave Underlay] – Parachute effect once per minute, and 23 bonus agility.
• [Nitro Boosts] – 5 sec speed boost every 3 minutes. This is great for dps to get away from something or get back to a moving target.  The quicker you get back, the quicker you can start dpsing
• [Saronite Bombs] – Bombs that do an aoe explosion, have a short cooldown, and are off of the global cooldown (extra dps ftw)
• [Helm Enchant] – Forgot the name of this one, but it adds 45 stamina to a helmet and allows the wearer to attempt to take control of a humanoid’s mind.  This ability has a 10 min cooldown.  If you do not need defense rating (which most should not in end game gear), then this head enchant is the best in the game for tanks in my opinion.

• MOLL-E – personal mailbox
• Jeeves – Repair bot, sale bot, and access your bank
• Northrend Wormhole Generator

• Turbo Charged Flying Machine

Now, the real question is, after giving up my gold making juggernaut of Inscription, will I be able to make any gold at all with Engineering?  Let’s find out

Been Waiting a Long Time for This completed!

What is up AH Farmers?!?!

The WoW Gold Project is moving along at a better pace every day.  I am hoping to hit the gold cap before Cataclysm hits, and in the meantime, Shock and Awe is pushing Lich King in ICC25 man as well as finishing up the last achievement we need for our Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher drakes in ICC10, Glory of the Ice Crown Raider.

We are also tried Yogg-Saron +1 for that specific achievement for the Rusted Proto-Drake reward from Glory of the Ulduar Raider.

Phase 2 Yogg looks kinda like a Metroid

Really want to get these mounts since it is unknown as to what will happen to them once Cataclysm hits.

Profession Dilemma

I have been hearing some great things about Engineering for dps DKs, and while I want to switch to it, I do not want to give up Inscription or Jewelcrafting so maybe it is time to level an alt, give them inscription, and then replace Inscription with Engineering on Goldproject…
